Week 6 - Autumn 2

Our week

This week's blog was written by Ben, Faisal, Oliver and Sam.

On Monday, we played rugby and tuned our skills. We played games so as to improve: throwing backwards ; communication between teammates ; being in the right place and tagging. Although at first we kept being tagged, we practised and eventually we weren't tagged - or not as much. We had to score a try before 2 taggers took one of our 5 teammates' tags. If we passed forwards, then we lost. It required lots of concentration and focus.

The equipment we used.

On Tuesday, we carried on with our N.A.F.I.R projects- we made our own British Values- these will help our planet live in harmony. We looked at the British Values to help us with our own values that we were going to make afterwards.

In the morning of Wednesday we watched the year 4/5 dress  for their Christmas play. The Year performed it graciously and it flowed beautifully.

The singing was absolutely fantastic from all of them ( especially Theo).

On Thursday, we carried on with our N.A.F.I.R project and started to make a national anthem for a new planet! We chose a song or theme to sing to and then wrote lyrics about them. Because we had not got the aid of a backing track, the singing was quite hard!

Then we used percussion instruments to improve our national anthems. Once finished, we preformed them to the class. After many attempts the groups produced various - and unique- anthems. Using the groups diverse skill set they got a final anthem that successfully had lyrics and a instrument.

On Friday, we made excel sheets in ICT. This will help us record data. To advance us even more we found out how to get it to calculate sums for you.

We also tried to build a maths jigsaw by matching up fractions, decimals and percentages.
