Our first week of learning . . .

What an exciting and busy first week back at school . . . so busy in fact that there wasn't time to take any photos.

The children have been completing several back to school activities to help them reflect on what they want to achieve in year six and how they will be successful. They have also thought about the kind of activities they want to complete to make their final year at Kelvedon St Mary's a truly memorable one.

We have begun our topic on castles and gardens with a range of art, history and creative writing learning. Time away from our topic was also given to the iron-age round house which appeared on the junior playground during the holidays.

6F have been trying out some new spelling activities and 6L completed a maths investigation on hand shaking.

Both classes have started their 'Football in the Community' skills sessions and French learning with Mrs Golding.

What exciting learning will take place next week?
