This week, children in year 6 are having a go at bike ability - the children have been split up into groups and the bike ability instructors are teaching the group how to use their bike! The skills are about staying safe whilst traveling places.
This week group 2 have been amazing at bike ability! They have travelled all around Kelvedon using their new skills - they finished with all of the new skills in mind- well done!
This week Mr Faithful has been teaching us perimeter and area of different shapes (Like trapeziums and parallelograms) and we have improved a lot. We played a game linked to area and perimeters that is called Sid's pool construction job, and you had to build a pool with random measurements needed- you can try to build a pool using the correct perimeter and area needed as well! Overall, we are great at these (we even did a year 7-9 question on area and perimeter!)
Mr Faithful has asked us to show what we know about Internet safety in a piece of writing, but it had to be eye catching (From consoles to IMessages, we have all had our own ideas for the presentation!) Mr Faithful said he will chose one well-presented piece of writing and take it to a meeting and everyone is trying their best!
In P.E we have been learning to link movements on apparatus' (Equipment) and perform some simple Gym positions. We have used Gym mats and climbing frames - all linking. We presented our routine to other groups and then they gave us feedback once conferred. We all did an excellent job.
We have also been learning different rugby skills. Mr Short (Mrs Short's husband) visited the school - he is a qualified England rugby coach.
